And it's still on this computer when I boot into Linux from a Ubuntu CD :(

(sorry - i do field repairs for computers... sort of a reflex action to offer up help like this) ^^;
Wow, could it really be a HARD DISK causing the problem? It's not even my main OS disk..
Maybe there's something in your room interfering with the frequency of the pen?
I tried different USB ports before I got my motherboard replaced-- EG: I used the ports that are in the back of the PC and are directly on the motherboard.
I'll probably reply to lanhao above when I try another USB port in the back with my new PC. I don't expect it to affect things though :/
Hmm has it been reformatted since you got these problems years ago?
The tablet works on every other PC besides:
1. My old version of this PC
2. My new version of this PC
Almost everything's different between this two, though.. 8|
