...ever really really REALLY want to make a sane and just and logical point about something...and it's really really well thought out without any holes and you're absolutely sure you've thought about everything objectively so that no one has the right or ability to argue with your point...but you still can't make the point without paranoid zealous idiots screaming at you that you're wrong?
I almost want to eliminate the people who go "hey you just have to accept unacceptable bullshit because I'M too apathetic to care enough to make effort to FIX anything" as much as the people that are doing the stupid shit to begin with.
How people fail to understand that >TOLERATING< utter and complete wrongness stupidity is WHY there's so fucking much of it as opposed to if people at least TRIED to beat sense into those people when they popped up.
lol naw i get cha~
Look at the back of the box. Is there a cable plugged into the first connector on the left?
customer:
10 minute essay about the color of some cable.
me:
Is it plugged into the connector on the left?
customer:
repeats essay.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
And the issue was fixed when the customer dropped her tv. it just started working.
"Push the channel up button"
"I don't have one."
"It's the white button with a CH on it."
"I don't see it."
"It's halfway down the remote...shaped like a peanut."
"Ugh, just send me a damn mechanic already"
want to help?
Also, evolution is a lie and stem cell research is evil.
Even if you don't get into the "religious" reasons of why people are so willfully stupid (as in they don't desire to question their faith and whatever their leaders tell them) you still have plenty of morons within the field of science itself. Stupid people will defend their position no matter what especially when they are taken off guard. The best way to win an argument versus an idiot is to let them know about the debate BEFORE you tell them they are wrong.
That way they are allowed to prepare a counter-argument and feel as though they had a fair chance to share their views. This can help ease some of the potential conflict when you basically prove beyond all doubt they are wrong. If someone feels attacked it's a natural human instinct to attack back even if they know they don't know what the hell they are talking about. Keep that in mind the next time you want to debate someone.
It's like complaining that one can't discuss Kant at the Special Olympics.
