Timing posting art/pictures

I've been wondering. Have any of you ever given thought to the time of day or time of the week you post new submissions to FA.
I figure there is probably a sweet spot you can hit based on the day of the week and the time of the day to get maximum views.
Of course a more enticing thumbnail will always win at the end of the day but two similar submissions posted at different times would probably get a different number of views.
One would have to factor in the % of furs on the west vs. east coast. If you wanted to target one or the other or thread the eye of the needle. Then we have to consider when most people check FA and when artists are likely to upload art.
Without any numbers I would figure that the best time to post would be when people are getting home from work/school. 4:00-5pm in your target time zone. A lot of people probably check FA shortly after getting home or while they are winding down from the day.
Later in the evening would also be a decent time since anything nerd/geekyy tends to trend up later at night. Maybe between 10-11? The reason I don't think that is the best target time is that it's probably the time when more artists will be on sketching, photoshopping and doing their thing.
More users, yes. Also a lot of submissions. More people browsing but a much shorter exposure. So less users and a longer time on the front page or the first 'browse' page but less users on at a time or a short time on top but more users browsing.
Honestly I'm not THAT concerned either way, there are just the things I tend to ponder when I have nothing else to do.
Is there a place I can see 'submissions per hour'/'users online' numbers?
Maybe I should just tag all my submissions as mature? lol

I agree with your logic and I was actually thinking the same thing. As a furry artist trying to get some watches I think I'm gonna follow your advice. So I just put a prize piece up now in hopes of getting those furs that just got home from work~ Wish me luck!
