Goodbye-- oh wait a minute!
Ahaha, yeah. "Being busy" doesn't even begin to describe it.
I'd apologise for the significant lack of art, but if you're watching me, it should be something you expect of me by now. I can't even lie and say I've been working on things, as I have not. At least not in the past month.
The amazing Em had given me a tablet for my birthday... and my not-so-amazing mother decided that my stylus was /actually a pen/ and when it wouldn't write, pressed down hard enough to break it to "get the ink to work" then threw it across the room when it wouldn't work.
It is no longer pressure sensitive, and I had already used the spare stylus-tip that was included.
Dear mum did something way out of character though, and said she'd pay for a new tablet for me, since you can't just buy replacement pens for the one I had. We even made a deal, where if I went to get a more expensive tablet than what I had, she would pay up to a certain point before I had to cover some for it.
So I actually have a Wacom MTE 450 Bamboo on it's way right now. Also, I got it at a good price, about two days before the distributer decided they were going so fast that he could up the price. *Is glad it was ordered when it was* Thank you Ebay.
Now, don't let mother's generosity fool you. We are, by no means getting along in any semblance of the word. But that's a long and constantly-changing story that I absolutely do not feel like going into right now.
I've gotten a job, I am still working an old job (just with more flexible hours) and have already said yes to a third provided the hours don't conflict too much (It's overnight and very spaced out, so it should work). I'm saving up for a car. Doesn't have to be anything fancy, and actually, I would prefer something used. It's cheaper that way.
Once I have a car I can call my own, well, I have a few options as to where I can go, but I /need/ to move out. And the only thing that keeps me here right now, is the lack of transportation from the eventual new place to the jobs I'm working.
(Really, I'm hinting that if you live in SC and stumble onto a good deal for a used car, you should link me, and you'll have my eternal gratitude.)
So the tablet is in the mail, I have a few rough sketches I'll work into a digital medium, and I'm busy as hell with two jobs and a possible third on the way.
Hopefully I'll have more updates for you soon-ish (art-wise). But we'll see.
