The very sounds you DON'T want to hear coming from your computer's power supply, right after you've been out and spent a load of money on stuff for a trip to the US, and taken the rest of your money out in dollars.
Guess what sound I heard just now...
Oooooh, the PC died brilliantly, there was even that tell-tale burning electrics smell, and the blue smoke of doom that means "This particular component is now fuxxed."
So, I've just removed the power supply, and cannibalised the crap out of a newer, but considerably crappier power supply I had lying around, and mashed the two together until-
TADA! It worked! It's alive! And I didn't spend a penny! *Joy*
Also, I'M GOING TO FREAKING ANTHROCON IN 2 DAYS!
That is all.

To be fair, it was 6 year old PSU ^_^
