Can you do it so you can click a button and have all the clothes appear? Like pressing the "shoes" button and then having all the shoes appear on the canvas?

I would love to know how to do buttons but I was wondering along with what I have to do already am I going to have to do that AND THEN at the end of doing all that do the buttons? Or do I do everything together? Like what I have to do and then the buttons for each item at the same time?

I'm only wondering because this person on DA said if I try this one thing that hes suggesting that I won't have to do what I normally do for EACH item and that I will only have to do it once! But I dunno cuz I haven't tried it yet!

Its ok. I already found a much easier way of doing it the way I do it. Flash 8 has it so all I have to do is click on the item and press F8 and then title the item. Then I click on the actions tab and put in that code. Its much much much faster. But thank you for all your help <3 I might do buttons in the future but I just want to get this done asap so I'm doing my normal drag and drop!

You can make it all in Photoshop if that's easier, but if you like the drag and drop kind then I'd suggest drawing all the clothes in Flash. Its a long and tedious progress. I just got back into making them so I do have a collection of the actions if you need them.

ya the only way I like is to draw the items in SAI and then import them. Other wise its just too ugly. I like button style but only if its easy! I don't mind doing a little more work but if its twice the work I have to do now then I'll just do it the normal way >___> I also really like to drag and drop...But the one I'm making has SO much more clothes than your doll does! The reason I wanted buttons was so I could press "shoes" and then have all the shoes appear on the canvas! This sounds complicated tho :(

Buttons aren't really that difficult. If I'd had more clothes I would have made the separate menus, but I just got tired of drawing clothes about then.

The two main tutorials I used for reference were
