Now I am a driving man as long as I have a passenger that is twenty-five or older that is licensed to drive. Well, it's a start.

Also doesn't help that I've lousy depth perception after about 40', so it's nearly impossible to tell which lane a car on a cross street is in... but I remember reading that the human eyes are a bit close together to get better precision than that, so... :\
It doesn't help figure out what I'm doing wrong when most people are flat-out wrong about whether or not they're a good driver and why. Most everyone else thinks they're an above-average driver. I'm dead certain I am, and that terrifies me terribly. :(
In Japan, my host mother had a wee doodad affixed to the bumper, sticking up in plain sight... for the same purpose. Kinda essential in terrain where you may be driving down to the centimeter for clearance. Thankfully, I live in a country with much wider roads. ^_^
