I got a bunch of inks and sketches I'm going to be uploading soon. My roommates, a bunch of old college friends, and sundry local artists threw together a little show we're calling "The Tape Show," where we just made a bunch of random sketches, and taped them to the wall. The format was 8.5" X 11" paper, and the requirement was that all the sketches were to be done in ink.

It was an awesome collection of all sorts of artwork! It's almost a shame I can't sit and scan everyone's submissions, because there's some awesome stuff that'd make one's head spin! (it'd also take an eternity to scan, given it's 100+ drawings!)

I'm not so comfortable inking-- I am terrified at making mistakes! But on the bright side, it got me drawing... and during the show after a beer or two, I was happily doodling like mad alongside everyone else.

If you live in the Kansas City, MO area, we will be having a second showing of all the art this First Friday of July. I guess if anyone wants details... just read this journal and ask me!

The sad part is I won't be around for the second show.... I gotta work that night. >:(
