The trip so far

I've been pretty quiet about this weekend so far, sorry about that.
I'm currently in the SW corner of Kansas, pretty much middle of nowhere, visiting my brother who has been with the Navy for the last two years. He finally got some leave time that I can see him for.
Six hour trip across the state to stay with my mom and stepdad. I got in my suit before me and my brother took off, and everybody had a good time. It's the first time any of them have seen the suit, and they were rolling from the fun. I really thought my stepdad was going to break for a while there.
Me and my brother made the trip back to my hometown from there, about an hour and a half back east. We drove around for a bit, visiting people he hasn't seen in a while, and then we headed down to the street dance. I wore my suit down to it, and my brother took pictures for me. It was a blast, everybody loved it. <3
I met another fur from the area too, a young kid. He caught up with me as I was leaving the dance, and literally ran me down on the street. We sat and talked for a bit about the fandom, and this and that. It was a good time, and I think we were both surprised to see another furry in this tiny little town.
Tomorrow is explosions and booze day, so who knows what's going to happen. So far it's been a pretty solid weekend.
