I think the same thing sorta happened with us with our last government, then again I should only really whisper that because many people think the current government just by the concept of them being in is worse than the last one which drew up some of the worst debt in the modern history of England :P

Wow. Well its not like we're any better with bush gone we got obama and he like spending money plus no one agrees on anything right now so its not helping any. So we seem to be following the same path as before.

And in the wise words of Buddha who probably kept out of politics, "life is suffering" because in politics no matter who you vote for you're screwed one way or another :P

See, there's always some sorta bias, here for example you guys were quite oppressive...oh wait~

lol opression was bad I agree, that's something of a problem when nobody knows who started what, soldiers get spat on and civilians got beaten all happening with people who never knew eachother in the first place and then it escalates :P

So essentially, the history of every major event that's occurred so far =p

I guess that could be a way to see it with American history, everyone got fed up of who were essentially people from their own country back home treating the soldiers as opressive foreigners :P

Again with the point you made, like most history probably goes many people probably took the phrase "to uphold law and order" a little too much into their own hands and people got beaten for it :P

Hehe I know it does sound like a dumass moment in history but there's more to it but I still just think, what if people just stole the tea and robbed the ship? Protest? Yeah it's protest with gain and if worst came to worst they could just burn the tea but otherwise I think people should have just drank it :P

I have to admit, Garrus, having been born and raised here in the States it's honestly getting worse than when the country was founded. We've moved away from what the founders began the US on, and it's like the people aren't even given thought these days (remember the claim of "A Nation Of the People, By the People, For the People"?). The fact that the people who try to make a truly honest living are the ones who get stepped on and lose out overall. Here's my example:

I used to work a decent merchandising job making $12US an hour (plus reimbursement for food and travel). I busted up my Achilles on the job, and generally haven't been able to work since. The worker's compensation system not only twiddled their thumbs when I needed treatment, but allowed me to get worse over time. Even when I sought legal counsel nothing really got done. I finally received surgery (for the foot/ankle equivalent to carpal-tunnel, called tarsal tunnel) and a few months of physical therapy Q4 of last year, but it didn't fix the problem.

All the while, my employer had gone bankrupt and closed its doors leaving me jobless while I continued to lose use of the injured foot/leg. Fast forward to today and nothing is STILL being done while I have to get around in a wheelchair due to extenuated nerve damage. Legal counsel just sits their with sound guards over its ears and their thumbs up their arses.

I hate to say it, but I haven't even hit my third decade in life and I've grown to hate the country I live in.

Ouch, yeah that's kinda what I hear companies are like, dunno what it's like here but we're constantly bombarded with ads for lawyers for hire specifically for injuries at work and stuff here. Wonder if this new healthcare system is gonna do something if it comes in?
