As is the family tradition of our house (whomever's house it is that we stay at on the 4th) everyone sat down to watch 1776. In case you're unfamiler with these numbers (besides them being some configuration having a marginal amount to do with the USA) it's a musical about the writting and signing of the Declaration of Independance.

These days with all the stupid crap my country has done this movie is one of the only things that fill me with any sort of patriotism. Well, patriotism...and fangasm seeing Mr. Finny from Boy Meets World playing John Adams ^__^;;

Lemonade in chilling in the old butter turn urn; Boston butt is full smoked; cakes are decorated with strawberry and blueberry; and the waters of the lake outside are choppy with people boating, floating, and seadooing. All thats left is to secure the fireworks do not meet with untimely lighting due to impatient childern or impatient adults acting like children.
