When people mail out money, it's never cash. It's a cashier's check. You can get one from 7-11 or the post office :) And only the person who receives it can use it by presenting their ID. Neither people need a bank account, they can just go cash it at a 7-11 or Post office.


I've sold a lot of stuff on ebay and sometimes there will be someone who wants to pay this way. I've also done the same thing with buying a car from another person (because you don't want to carry $6000 in cash on you, right?!)


Anyway, I am excited for this. Any way you can post them mid-day or evening? I don't even wake up till like noon CMT. And you will take paypal, right?

Hmm, I think for now I'll just throw free ones at you until I get a paypal. I've been meaning to make one forever ago.

The paypal process can be a little long... I think you can accept payments right away actually, but in order to actually get the money out, they have to confirm your home address by sending you a letter, and then you confirm a number on it or something.

Same thing with adding your credit card/bank account. They will charge you a number anywhere between $.01 and $.20 and refund it immediately--and you can either tell them the amount on the phone or receive an email, so yeah, there are *some* hassles.


But if you plan on keeping the money in your paypal account, you can use it wherever paypal is accepted, without going through all the BS. You just can't pay via credit card/bank account through paypal, nor can you transfer funds back to your bank account.

They work with you well though. Like if you have to do refunds n crap (it's worth it).
