Ok, so the past few weeks I've been trying to get at least something out of unemployment so I and the dog don't starve to death.
Well, I get like four letters in the mail today all from some Missouri Department of Employment Security. I was apparently supposed to get $79.00/wkly but I got a letter prior (before AC) that I was disqualified from earning unemployment. I paid it no mind, thinking I filed something incorrectly as this is my first time doing all this crap, so I resubmitted with what I thought was correct the second time.
Well, about those letters I get today, the first one states my 'pay' for the week of 6/12/10 I was supposed to get $79.00 (I'm reading along from the paper as I go). Wages reported were $250.00 made for that week (keep in mind I resign from the company on 6/7/10). Here's the part that's confusing me... or maybe I'm just too upset and disgruntled to understand it, my deductions where $230.00 plus an additional $20.00 for their 'taxes' but how are they going to deduct that from a $79.00 balance???? This isn't adding up to me and I'm getting pissed the more I try to make sense of it, because we all know how GREAT and RIGHTEOUS the USA Gov, ja???
Well on the other letter, it states that I refuse or 'quit' the job hence another reason I got disqualified... I hate the word 'quit' such a powerful yet nothingness word HENCE WHY I TOLD THEM ALL I RESIGNED. It doesn't make sense to me to 'quit' to me, that's the same as being fired, unless my terminologies are wrong then correct me on it so I'll know. Anyway, continuing on, they say in-order to lift this disqualification I must show proof that after 6/7/10 (oh look!!! my resign date! hmmmmm!) that the total amount of wages earned was... get this, at least $790.00!!! I love how they say "as least"... kind of makes me think they're saying I'm entitled to more money but they're trying to cover their ass from something and/or someone...
All this just sounds highly suspicious to me, correct me if I'm going about this wrong though, because my temper is about ready to do the talking and I don't want that :(

All this is just highly testing my stress, and now, it not even so much them anymore, now that my ex employer has lied and said I made nearly 800$USD after I left. Hell, if I walked away with a check that big I wouldn't be charging for commissions right about now lol

oh and trust me, if you dislike the heat that you likely get down there, then you'd be happy for any winter we can get up here. this summer we've had heat as high as 110 outside, and without air conditioning inside, we couldn't keep it any lower than 80. So as much as I hate to shovel the driveway... please god, make it snow. XD
Maybe it's just me but I'd rather be sleeping with a big soft fluffy blanket (or a soft fluffy furry :3) than sleeping with no blanket, no sheets over me, and in nothing but boxers, and still be too hot to sleep. xP
My body freezes up too quickly x.x *clings to ye and all his huskyness* :P
at any rate *cuddles* I'll gladly keep you warm, my best-est klee kai friend. ^^ (just not in a sexual way XD)
