Jesus, what happened?

As dimly as I am aware of the situation, he was picked up after a job interview in Louisiana for possessing 2 or more items used in the creation of meth. So the charge was Precursors to Construction of a Meth Lab. I'm hoping to hell it's a bull shit charge, but I unno anymore at this point. So far, his bail bond's set at 75 bucks, which we managed to get, but that's like... a small percentage of what the family will eventually owe. Not to mention court dates and such. x_x

That does sound like bullshit and almost like quota farming. What the hell? I guess it might depend on what those items are as to whether or not the charge will hold any ground, with any luck I'd see him as getting out without any issues after one court session, but it could all depend on conditions (i.e. WHY DID YOU HAVE THESE THINGS?)

If and when he gets sentenced, he's looking at 2+ years. I'm hoping to hell it's a bullshit charge at this point... stress is through the roof on this one. x_x;

damn, I am sorry to hear that, sounds like he was arrested for no good reason, because normally if the one who wound up in prison actually did something to deserve it, then well, I wouldn't exactly have any sympathy for them unless they actually realized the wrongs of their ways, but I got a feeling something isn't right as to why your brother in law is serving time, because if my intuition is correct, then he probably had a run in with a corrupt cop who decided he didn't like your brother in laws face and decided to dig up a reason to charge him, because I have heard of that happening, a cop sees some kid, he decides the kid had inadvertantly broken some law he made up on the spot to charge him with, tazes him, then arrests him if the tazer didn't kill the poor guy before the arrest could be made........ police corruption makes me a sad gryphon :<.

... this isn't a case of police corruption. My brother in law actually did have some items necessary to create a meth lab. I have no fucking clue why, but he did. We'll just have to deal with this a day at a time.

hmm, well this is really unfortunate, we need to find out what was actually going on, because i know a few common cleaning items are some of the many things that goes into meth, it could have been these cleaners that it was, but again, I am just making a guess here, so I could be wrong about it.
