By any chance this journal entry was inspired by the latest Nostalgic Critic-episode? =P

In a roundabout way, I suppose...

The NC video made me go "WTF."

The NC video being taken down made me go "...WTF." It also prompted me to do a video search to see if someone had uploaded it elsewhere.

Though unsuccessful in finding the review, I was able to find clips from the movie, and they made me laugh my ass off.

So if the review hadn't gone down, I probably wouldn't have been prompted to search for the videos, and since I would have assumed a good number of people had seen the review, I wouldn't have felt the need to bring up the movie.

So it wasn't inspired by the episode so much as by the episode being taken down.

Why was it taken down, anyway?

I don't think we have a definitive answer yet.

There's a bit of weirdness surrounding the review, though. For example, when it popped up on the RSS feed, it was labeled "Independence Day" again.

sadly this is less awkward than real life dialogue I have at work on a regular basis :[

also if you want more crappy/weird dialogue try the first 10 minutes of "the man from earth"
