We're sleeping long and far too late....

....and so it's time to change our ways.
Keeping only one of my journals from my entire time spent on FA, because really, comments involving the Deep Ones, cookies and tea is too good to remove, even if the pair of people who started it all have drifted to different seas for the time being. That being said, in times of turmoil I will always, always have a spare lifeboat for you.
Currently in the midst of reading PIHKAL (Phenethylamines I Have Known And Loved): A Chemical Love Story, and just finished with the book Shades of Grey. In fact, I've been doing a lot more reading as of late; in these past 6 months alone I have already completed the Dune Trilogy, The Left Hand of Darkness, Solaris, and am halfway through Destination: Void. Getting back to my old bookworm roots has really prevented me from remaining online as much as I used to, and I can't say I'm complaining.
I've also made a point to remove my FaceBook account, so for politeness sake I halfheartedly apologize to those of you who may have had me added as a 'friend'. I say 'friend' because if you ask me, I'd prefer it if those of you who want to know me, get to know me. I am not a profile with pretty pictures and witty quotes. I am a tangible human being who loves, laughs and cries. I hold a fondness for sappy movies (shhhh), zombies and Pink Floyd. Note me, talk to me, ask me for my email address. I may not always respond right away, but I will always respond. Who knows? Maybe you might actually like me.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go back to reading, and tomorrow morning I am going to be up bright and early with the love of my life picking saskatoon berries across the street from his house. And we do not care if our fingers are stained, if our hair is entangled with twigs and leaves, and if our clothing and mannerisms are not to your liking. Loving life and loving nature are entwined within our being, and together we will make a start at saving this world from the virus of machinery and apathy.
My art has a purpose again.
For those of you who understand, come to me. Let's start a revolution.

I'd also recommend the Mercy Thompson novels by Patricia Briggs
A woman mechanic who can shape shift into a coyote gets into all sorts of fixes because of her association with the local warewolf pack, a friendly vampire and her connections to the faye/fairy folk who "came out" to the world. She and her adventures tend to be as interesting as any proper coyote's should be.
I also notice that even though your Journals are gone a picture of you with a Wii is still clearly viewable. Can I count this as a good thing, all things considered?

Journals dating back to when I was 16 just seem pointless, to be perfectly honest.
I'M SO LAZYYYYYY. Nikki, I miss you. I'll let you know what my phone bill looks like and I'll see about calling you soon. :)
