I dont see why they wouldn't work... XBox Live is XBox Live, right? I'm not sure, because I jumped on the Microsoft bandwagon with the 360 *Ish on Oblivion right now, and almost done with the storyline. ^.^*

However, I would go to xbox.com and check it out, to see what they have to say.

Xbox live is all one big server, It just identifies what console you have, but to be sure i would call Xbox Customer Support, they wuld know better than anyone.

I tried, it doesn't work, an Gold membership card for the 360 won't work on the original, the guy at Gamestop told me it would, but it didn't, your best bets tech. support or something to that degree, hell I wouldn't be surprized in the least bit if you could buy them online.

check the gamestop website, I found that they still have some there. On newegg hough *havent checked compUSA yet* they have one for 360, still dont know if they sell older ones, but if anything, gamestop online is my next best bet

Here's the major points, if i remember them correctly. You'll want to call someone and verify it, or go to XBL's website.

360: Live comes in two flavors: Gold and Silver. Silver is free and everyone has it. It allows you into the marketplace, lets you download demos, etc. Gold is everything Silver has, plus playing games online.

XBox: There's really only one flavor: the current equivalent of Gold.

In theory, one of the Gold cards SHOULD work for the regular XBox, since it's all the same service like everyone has said before.

Go to their support website and take a look around there. The link is to their support pages, where you select whether you want to look up info for the 360 or the original XBox.

i had one that i bought long ago with halo2 and some other things but i dunno if it works still; i currently don't have xbox live right now cause i got no time to tinker around with it, too busy trying 2 buy extentions 4 xbox360. PLUS i kept original xbox B-cause i heard about an forin upgrade witch u can play N64 or PSX games in the system.

PS. i'm looking for some xbox live players cause, i only have a few friends online 2 play with, not everyone plays at once.

Halo 2
Ridge Racer 6
and so on...

yeah, I might whind up buying a 360 *or get my friends* and just add my account on there, then move it to my old xbox

lol it cost more that a normal 360, and if it still doesnt play ALL xbox games, unlike the current 360, then I dont want it, lol. Thats why I wont get ride of my xbox if I do get one.

wait...the elite dosen't play all old xbox games?
i have a hard drive to my regular 360 and i just download requirements from the xbox web site and that's it, then i could play, but yeah..could not play some good xbox games... *sigh*
