As my friends already know, I often do feel a bit out of place since I'm the only otter in the group. However, that feeling only increased on Sunday when I went to the FurBQ hosted by Tony Ringtail. It seemed to me that I'm a little more unique than I thought, since there were no otter furs present there either. Needless to say, it didn't feel very good to me.

Now, I know that there are a lot of otter furs out there in the world, having seen many an FA page of them or having talked to them via IM or in chats, but I have never met one from my state/city/area. (Or so I think). I just sometimes feel like well.................. the title of my journal should give you an idea.

To my NY friends reading this , I know you think I'm an awesome guy and that I should be happy to be unique, and I do sympathize with that and I'm indeed happy. However, I just can't shake that nagging feeling sometimes. I just hope that in the future that another otter joins our group. I suppose until then......I'll gratefully be the unique one along with the other 'loners' of our group.
