Seriously! I think I've improved in my art over these years but those hands!!!!!!! why can't I get it? why can't I understand them?!

Get a small desk mirror. Take photos of your hands in unusual poses. Draw from them. Over and over again! :3

Because hands SUCK! Hands and feet! I looked at my stack o' drawins last night... HUGE. And I still can't do hands or feet worth shit. That seems to be fairly universal though.

I told you before, and I'll tell you again =P Draw lots of hands, over and over again, you need to just sit and focus on them. But the suggestion that Ramzkun gave sounds like the best rout to follow.
