My calculations conducted in the best spirits of scientific method have lead to a conclusion that it would be only decent and proper to let people who might be concerned know about my comings and goings at least once every six months, so here goes a journal! :3

I have been busy. Busy busy busy. With school. Since... When did I post the last jornal!? In addition to the obligatory courses I decided to study through the summer this year too, and while I don't exactly regret it, it has effectively chewed away time I would have spent on artstuffs. I have had a few chances to continue working on the commissions I have though, as well as start some small projects on my own. ;3

So. 3D. I've finally dabbled around with it a bit more; I find Sculpris a great source of motivation as it is easy to learn and use, and you can do pretty neat stuff with it. (Not that I could, yet. >_>) I intend to learn more about Blender and texturing with ZBrush as well. I will post results as soon as I get something decent enough done. x3

In another news, me and my roommates had to move into a new apartment because the old one was sheduled to get renovated. Everything went ok, but surprisingly I found myself quite stressed by the new environment at first, though not much changed from the old setting. I'm pretty much settled in now though, and things are looking good. :3

Good to hear from you again, dear! It does look as if your real life certainly has kept you mi-i-ighty busy! But it's good to know that everything has been going well!

And even trying out new things! That's awesome! I'm sure we will all be looking forward to seeing what kind of awesometabulous things you may create with the 3D programs!

Thank you, but don't take your expectations too high~ I'm afraid I may be pushing 3D into something it's not all that well suited for, and since I'm very inexperienced with it... Well, that recipe usually spells for a disaster. But we'll see. <:3

Oh, I so know what you mean. I have seen that happening to myself plenty of times as well... "I should really get online and check my messages... ah well, I'll do it tomorrow." *Five months later...* "Oh... yeh... messages..."

Hee, ah well, and after all we all need to learn, dear! So even if you don't have too much experience with the program and the 3D options and so yet, there's only one way to get that experience; by doing it, and lots of it! And so what if your first attempts look like crap... that's what you learn from, after all

Thanks for the encouragement. :3 I have some problems living by those wise words though; I usually keep too high standards even in the beginning and get easily disappointed, thus I need good motivation to get further. ^^;

*smiles* I know exactly what you mean, dear. That's the precise problem I have in trying to learn how to draw; since I'm so good at writing and do everything right the first time when I write a story, I want to do everything right the first time when I draw, too, and... well, let's face it, that won't happen So I kind of keep too high standards for myself as well. But luckily I do also know that everyone needs trial and error to learn a skill, and that you only get better through practice, practice and more practice, so if you're doing something you like, you gotta persevere, and you'll get better along the way!

You're welcome again! And I have to honestly admit; I gave up on learning to draw a long time ago already, and have accepted my talent lies in writing, so I'll just stick to painting awesome pictures with words. A lot of people seem to think I'm fantastically good at that

Hee hee! Yes, while that is often a very nice thing to do because it provides you with a good bit of reading material for the lost hours, it can also very quickly pile up on you... I know that from experience!
