I'm sure it's just on my end, but the site is loading so sllllloooooowwwwwlllllyyyyy. *pouts*
But if it helps I do a lot of gardening. (Roses, hibiscus, fuscia, strawberries, foxglove, snapdragon, african daisies, and some sort of tree that was there before I was. ^_^
i lived on an organic farm for 2 years we grew the full spectrum of veggies, everything from peppers to cucumbers, tomatoes etc. the main focus was the trees we had 36 different types of nut (we grew a walnut that was bigger than a soft ball) 18 types of cherries 42 kinds of pears and the crown jewel 288 types of apple. its the largest collection of different apple verities in one place that we know of.
I don't garden much where we are right now because most of the yard is paved over. But I have roses, lemons, peaches, apples, some kind of berry vine (raspberry or blackberry, they're still green so I can't tell yet), grapes (those are the neighbors', but they've reached into our yard), and a palm in my bathroom.
I'm probably going to put some herbs in the front planter. I'd put a food-type plant out there....but I don't think I'd ever see any harvest.
I'd vote for something that couldn't really be explained like the Pyramids or Stonehenge, not something with a short lived history like the Statue of Liberty (wtf?!) or the Australian Opera House.
And I was thinking at first it was going to be stuff like Velcro or cheese filled pizza crust. ^_^
those 21 where selected from a longer list but lets face it... they are all wonders... why should some be more wonders than others? because a swiss based for profit fundation decided to make extra money...
Hey Grrr! Why don't you just talk about some of your upcoming plans and projects? I'm sure most of the people here would enjoy hearing about what you're going to be working on and what you plan to explore.
Well, lessie....er....well.....I have 35 commissions to do, and I'm hoping to do a comic for Furnation Magazine 10 but I'm having one HELLUVA time trying to get local models in the Bay Area! That and I still have my own comic from 7 years ago called "Timeslip!!!" that would make Calico pleased with me if I worked on that, too. Plus there's the collabs and oc stuff on the side.
Hehe, thanks Grrr, that icon is a screen shot of my otter character's SecondLife avatar that I made. The full character sheet for him is my featured submission and by far the most popular piece I have on FA. *otterchirp*
Sounds like you're rather busy of late. I only wish I could be so productive though I'm happy that I'm able to draw again after such a long slump. I seem to be improving as well.
EEEEEE! O_O *falls over* You've given me "$60 as of "9/12/04" - $20 @ FC03 which is $80 total out of $150, leaving $70 left to be paid. But hon, here's the thing, you're number 39 and I'm on #'s 11-14 atm.
The reason why I don't like to take money in advance is because I did that once and the person wanted to be moved up in line, which really isn't fair to those who have been waiting, and it's turned into a monkey on my shoulder sort of thing.
"Why aren't you working on my commission? I've already paid you for it."
"How come you can find time to work on other people's commissions but not mine?"
"I've been real patient with you but I don't think it's fair that you're posting artwork you've done when I haven't seen an update from you on mine yet."
Now I'm not saying You would do that to me, but once burned, twice shy. Unfortunately, I'm not fast and I hate not making someone happy. So part of me wants to accept the money you're trying to send me, but the other part of me who's become disenchanted with commissions and wants to drop all of them except the one's who have put in money already (which would include you) and just finish those and wash my hands clean of this whole commission thing.
*sighs* Trust me on this, it's not you, it's me. I'm in debt, so I would use the money immediately towards my loan, that's for certain. I'm already having a hard time dealing with my feelings of being an unethical artist because I take so long on commissions in the first place. I mean, I'm still working on commissions from 2000. My god, what have I done? >_<
its okay i just wanted to make sure you were paid before i go an spend it on something else
thankfuly im not sohugely picky that i cause the artist to have issues i admit you were thinking about pruning your list of those who havent comunicated in ages i was hopin to be moved up in the process
dragon is nothing if not patient a commission done by grrwolf is worth even years in the making
Because I have a hard time letting myself go in art. I worry about not doing something right and everyone jumping on me about having pores in the wrong place.
I think you should make a topic about the relativistic properties of the subatomic structures by which you evaluate the metaphysical post-modernism of semi-autobiographical astrology.
I know that when I talk about embarrassing stuff it always make my mind think of other random things...cheesecake....chocolate.... okay so wait what were we talking about again... oh yeah... so there was this one time that I was doing stuff with my special fx makeup stuff and I got stuck wearing it for like two hours... SMART....(sarcasm) well it was really embarrassing and it took me a long while to remove everything...sigh... thats my embarrassing tale...
Lessie...my most recent embarrassing tale is one that I will not go into great detail but it involved me, a pair of thigh-high stockings and pink panties from Hot Topic. *^_^*
LOL! Holy fuckshit, Batman indeed. Long story, but basically I was supposed to be a freelance artist at home so I took on extra commissions. Wasn't making enough fast enough so I had to get a part-time job which turned into going full-time which turned into being a supervisor which turned into having a second overnight stocking job which turned into oblivion. At any rate I'm not doing that any more, but I still have all the commissions I took on during that time and so now I'm wondering what the hell to do about it aside from the obvious but ridiculous notion of "well why not get started and do them all?".
Well, if they haven't payed you, you can always say "I'll never get these done guys, sorry!"
But if they HAVE payed you... you really SHOULD get started... 6.6;
well, it was a day with friends. i mean i had a... heavy drinking. and the other guys got a bad dosis of...
oh... forget about that.
i came home with many sparkles and stars around my head, you know what i mean? and i walked through my galleries and then i saw your entry.
" he don`t know whaz he should talking abouzz?" *hicks*
and then... suddenly I remembered on that one guy in the scum bar of the monkey island game. that guy with the "ask me about loom" sticker on his chest.
i don`t know why. maybe the bar in wich i was at that night reminded me on the scum bar. i mean there were also pirates, after my third white russian and two cosmopolitans of course. and i talked with a dog in that bar about governor marley...and rock oldies. but he would`n answer me so it was a monologue at all.
it only nodded after each sentence
Talk about smelling flowers, or chasing butterflies!! Well I know that's what I do. lol
Wow your art is amazing!! And you want to do an artist night with me when I get out in the Bay area, dude that is amazering!! OH if ya don't know who I am, I'm zeke_wolf 's GF.
*giggles* Well, I do a bit of gardening which helps make the townhome smell nice n' fresh. ^_^ We get an occasional butterfly every now and then.
*blush* D'awww, thank you. I would love to have an art night. When are you going to move, btw? I have some amusing pictures of Zeke in his fursuit I could show ya. ^_^
And again, thank you so much for the complements. *^_^*
Ohh I love butterflies!! But you get no humming birds?
I will be outafter the first weekend of august. I don't know how chaotic it will be my first week, so maybe the second or third week of august would be nice. I love funny pictures of Zeke.

Because I have a hard time letting myself go in art. I worry about not doing something right and everyone jumping on me about having pores in the wrong place.
Because secretly I have loads of artwork that is in progress but that's just for my artlist ( http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Grrrwolfartlist ) and they get everything first.
Uhmm...lessie..what else is there? Oh, because I'm a horrible procrastinator and I let myself get overwhelmed easily. ^_^

Or maybe talk about something cool, like music!
Musically speaking, however, VNV Nation is so fucking good! >_<
But if they HAVE payed you... you really SHOULD get started... 6.6;
Nah, its alright, just do it when you get a chance!
However, I think they had me in mind, who is extremely clumsy with my paws and drop things all the time. ^_^
scary...
oh... forget about that.
