Yeah. There was a lot more hate then compared to now. I'd like to call that a sign that we have improved as a community since then, but it's probably just because this banner is more of a chibi-cute-chub sort; the Thanksgiving one was perfectly harmless but less cute than this, so it garnered more hate.

I'm surprised to hear that anyone is complaining about our current banner. But then again, I was mass-trolled over a birthday cake I got a week ago... So I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

Since a large group of people get sexually aroused by drawings, stories, and animations of people getting stuffed with food or being made overly fat or just hugely obese creatures eating. I've been aware of it for 5 years since a number of the people involved would hang out in a sim I resided in Second Life.

Well, just like any fetish, it bugs people when it's shoved in their face. I don't think it's a sexual fetish for Katmomma but I do know it's disgusting or bothersome for others and that's what they're reacting to. Same thing with the fat fetish banner for November.

yeah it is if you think about it. FA crew has to pick out pics that were not ideas that were already done to try to keep things fresh. Plus Fireworks are over for this month's holiday so seeing it from an artist a bit stumped as what to draw for it.

Ive really not heard any complaints

When I was outside earlier today I saw a really stupid car, so I ran over the owner and started sceaming at him for driving such a hideous car. And later in the grocery store I threw apples at a woman with a really lame hair, I really HATE people that don't share my taste in things. I also yelled at the mailman because he had a fluffy thing in his keychain, can't stand such fluffy things. Everything I don't approve is just as bad as war and hunger and terrorism and I use most of my days and all of my energy to let people know that I really loathe it all.
Another option is to just ignore it all and don't think about it and instead use my time on fun stuff, but that would be too easy.

To be honest, I hate fat. But not in a way that I'm going to protest in the streets over it.

In this fandom, I have noticed there is a group of people who have a sexual attraction to fat and weight gain. I think it absolutely disgusting and totally unattractive but to each their own I suppose. I don't hate fat people mind you, I just don't understand why people allow themselves to be that way.

However, I am by far not offended with this picture nor was I offended of the Thanksgiving banner from two years ago. In the two pictures, there were no sexual undertones, or shoving a fetish in your face. In cartoons, whenever there is a Thanksgiving special, all the characters look engorged and fat after eating, but no one flips out then. Most likely due to the absence of sexual elements.

Sadly, people just get offended the instance they see a fat fur picture. Sadly, I'm rather convinced that the majority of the people who bitched and complained were obese themselves. Maybe it reminds them of their own insecurities or whatever the case may be.

Whatever, as I said I don't care. The picture is well drawn and I fine it cute. Nothing more.
