These people need to grow up, get a life and just move on. If you want something to complain about, choose something that matters, like the new UI and the way that ads are more page-invasive.

I thought it was rather cute personally. It made me giggle. I see nothing sexual about it. The fact that someone looks at that banner and immediately says "EW!! I HATE FAT FURS!! THIS MAKES MY DICK SHRIVEL!! GET IT OUT OF MY SIGHT!!" tells me they think about it as a fetish more often than they care to admit and seeing it just reminds them of that fact.

It's like the whole idea of the opal ring crusade bullshit or whatever it's actually called... the idea where you wear a certain kind of ring to remind you to be abstinent... when all it's actually doing is reminding you that you're not having sex, so you start thinking "I'm not having sex, I'm not having sex, I'm not having sex, I'm not having sex" until you get to the point where you're thinking about nothing BUT not having sex... and it drives you batshit crazy until you can't think about anything BUT having sex rather than NOT having sex... there was a rather wise person who discussed this very concept, the idea that denying something in such a way puts it at the forefront of your thoughts all the time until you can't stand the fact that you're denying it.

If you look at that banner and it immediately turns your stomach because you associate it with fat-fur porn... then you need to sit down with yourself and have a little 'self-discovery' time... or you could just not get all pissed off about it... (not you DJ, just the second person 'you' in general)

I'll admit, I wasn't that big a fan of the thanksgiving '08 banner, but I didn't raise an issue. I knew the message behind it. "OH Thanksgiving is about overeating! This must be taking that to the illogical extreme! hahahah" And then I moved the hell on and scrolled down the page. :B But yeah... I unno what to think about this kinda shit anymore. :P
