I've encountered a trying circumstance lately. I've rifled through an old manila folder, now overflowing with drafts, notes, and art (before I owned a PC) to help recall some nostalgia, that youthful energy, I possessed so long ago. Being so creatively dry of late, I just haven't picked up the pencil near as much (maybe every other week) as before, even though I've made great progress in skill. I suppose it means I'm growing as both a person and an artist. It's natural to want to relive the past, and I can do that through memories and art, but I'm sure this is a sign that I'm blinded to what's important: What's happening in my life here and now. I've been so caught up reliving the past that I've been dead in the present. So many missed inspirations...so many missed opportunities. I've much thinking and catching up ahead...
