I was never a terrible fan of C&C, it just wasn't very good after 1. 1 though, was really fun

I didn't even bother downloading it after I read the reviews. :<
Instead I went and bought Kane's Wrath! ENLIGHTENMENT ACQUIRED!

EA are destroyers of good games, all they care about are their friggen MADDEN games, they spend almost no money, re-skin the characters and change the gameplay almost none before releasing those and every idiot redneck out here runs out and hails it as a triumph of engineering. >_<

EA got rid of C&C because of one of their QA managers was being a complete dick, there were supposed to be three other C&C based games that never made it into light.

Tiberium was really looking good, too, there was no reason for them to cancel that game.

I never really got into the C&C games myself since I suck at RTS games. But another example of them ruining something is their long running Need For Speed series. Every time they make a new NFS game it HAS to be based off of something that another company has already done a year or two previously. Plus they tend to pull off a shitty version of what the other company has already done successfully.

I remember playing the original "The Need For Speed" back on the PS as a kid and taking a Lamborghini Diablo on a beautiful, bright sunny track with redwood trees and forest scenery and so on. Then mindlessly blasting through it at 200mph.

Now EVERY NFS based game they make is based on the same idea with the same boring city scape.

But I'm glad to see the guys who did the Burn Out games are taking the Need For Speed series and bringing it back to its roots with all of the pretty scenery, tons of cars to use and just mindless speed like the old games. Except you also get to be a cop as well unlike the original. That and if you're playing with a buddy online you can play as a cop and he can try to evade you as you setup road blocks, spike strips and send helicopters after him/her. :3

So it looks even more awesome. :3

Well. I saw a video of one of the guys working on it showing some game play footage at E3 and it looked awesome. The track they raced through was just what I described. A small one or two road bi-way I think they're called, going through a forest of red wood trees. The guy showing the video playing as a cop in a Bughatti Veyron and him chasing a fellow worker who was driving a Mc Laren F1.

So hopefully they take their time, do it right unlike EA and it'll kick horse butt like their Burn Out games. :3

I think I had NFS 2 which had some cool tracks. I remember one track that went from some rural scenery to a little bit of futuristic city and that was it until you left it. I had NFS3 which was my fave. One of my fave tracks on that was one that had farms all over the place. I had the pc version so I was able to add in custom made cars other people made. My fave was a Ford Aeromax big rig. So I could do top speed and smash into things without it being bothered. |3

My older brother tried the demo when he had a Wii. Looked pretty cool. But his Wii stopped getting used so he traded it in.

Aw! That sucks, it's a great game, though I'm mad we can't fight the hardest monsters offline.

I remember playing C&C4. I went Nod hoping that I wouldn't have to suffer another minute of the main character's 'loving wife'. So then Kane kidnaps her and threatens to kill her or something if you don't comply.

I wish I could be all 'pffft yeah whatever, you can keep her'. Every line out of her mouth made me seethe with rage. That, on top of the rest of the game [Hey guys Demigod was popular right? Let's try to make a Demigod clone!] was enough to make me feel sick at the thought of having spent any amount of bandwidth on that 'game'.

Yeah I'm a little late for this journal but MY GOD you're one of the few people who didn't like C&C4.
