~Remember when your mom told you she loved you?~
I'm home from the hospital now. It was suppose to be in and out surgery, but during surgery, an artery was nicked. The surgeon took care of it in a hurry, so that was fine. Out of the recovery room, they moved me to a regular room and told me that I would have to use the bathroom before I could be allowed to go home. I got up with help from one nurse and found out that the bellybutton incision had opened up and was draining out blood. I got to the bathroom and sat down, and while going, I watched the whole front of my gown become soaked by the leaking from my belly. The nurse told me that I looked very pale and called another nurse in to assist her . I got done and went to stand up, and everything started to swirl in my vision as I got incredibly light-headed and dizzy. I couldn't stand up and i grabbed the rail as the two nurses grabbed me to keep me from hitting ground. I don't remember much, except thinking that i was dying from the rapid blood loss. They called an emergency and 13 people were there, working on me once they got me back into the bed. My blood pressure was dangerously low and after 20 minutes of applied pressure to my one incision, they got it under control. They told me that I had been unresponsive doing that time between the bathroom and the bed, and that I was so pale that none of my freckles could be seen on my face. Eventually, I got the color back and even started cracking jokes [my natural defense against something like this]. I'm just glad that my mom hadn't been in the room with me when that happened, or I had been sent home before it. Needless to say, I had to remain in the hospital overnight. They kept close watch on me all night. My blood pressure remained extremely low and I was on oxygen and an IV most of the time.
But that's the update on me. I'm home and getting my pain meds so I can sleep more.
