I run into the problem like this a bit, see it around FA where I etched someone based on something other than content (like how they actually draw) and don't really notice up front that they are specific to this or that sexual interest and then a conversation like this comes up and in addition to atleast a few fans feeling left out there's sometimes situations like this where a bunch of other people point out that clearly this artist caters to this because of this. And so on.
I also agree that variety is the spice of life, even if its mostly other people variety. I don't really feel like my personal preferences play that big of a role in what I end up drawing, and am kind of baffled as to why that would be the case with others. Oh well.

For me it really depends on what all is going on. The expressions are what make the image, and the poses used, more than just the nudity, or act of sex. They each allow for a different variety of expressions, though the two can also overlap a great deal. Poses are often very cookie-cutter, so I like artists who can mix that up a bit. Nudity alone can be really hot, as well, again depending on the expression and pose. Also, species variety. The same old fox doing the same old 'yiffed at every orifice' gets old after a while. :P I dunno, maybe I'm just weird. :P
