A Thankful Heart
Read Luke 17:11-19
He prostrated himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him.
-Luke 17:16 (NRSV)
ONE of my friends was diagnosed with cancer. He was frightened and didn't know what to do. On advice, he went to church and prayed; and after some time, he felt better. At his next doctor appointment, the doctor told him that he was healthy. He did not go to the church to thank God. He said, "I don't think I was ever ill. They got my test results mixed up with someone else's. I have nothing to thank God for."
In the story of the ten lepers, I was struck by the words, "He prostrated himself at Jesus' feet and thanked him." When my friend thought he was ill, he agreed that he needed God. But once he found that he was not ill, he forgot about God.
Jesus healed all ten lepers, but only one turned back to thank him. The leper who came back in gratitude had received both physical and spiritual healing.

Prayer
Dear God. you are the reason for our existence and the source of all our blessings. Help us to recognize our need for you and to offer you our thanks for all the good that comes to us. We pray in gratitude, "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."* Amen.
Thought for the Day
Gratitude is the sign of a changed heart.

FA+

The tears stream down her face onto the cold hospital bed
Just like a prisoner between four ugly walls
The fear she can’t control is running rampant in her head
With every day she spent just waiting for that call
And I will never leave her side
We walk the tightrope between faith and fear
Each moment of our lives
But then the darkest hour of night is turned to day
Another miracle, another act unfolding in this play
And I’m blown away
The wine overflows, and my cup runneth over again
I’m blown away
My thankfulness grows with these blessings I can’t comprehend
You raise my spirit to the sky above to fly away
To fly on eagles’ wings
You lift the fallen back on high again to coronate
The King above all kings
All honor
All glory
Raised to Your Majesty on eagles’ wings
I looked him in the eye and played those words over and over in my mind
But that can’t be what he just said
I heard it for myself and know that life can be unkind
But can’t you see I’m much too young to lose my dad?
But I’m blown away
When you laugh at the odds, for the doctors cannot know your plans
I’m blown away
You hold the keys to all life and all death and all time in your hands
You raise my spirit to the sky above to fly away
To fly on eagles’ wings
You lift the fallen back on high again to coronate
The King above all kings
All honor
All glory
Raised to Your Majesty on eagles’ wings
Every tribe and every nation
(Lift your voices and sing)
All in heaven, all creation
Let the tongues of men and angels
(Lift your voices and sing)
All ye blessed, all ye thankful, sing!
You raise my spirit to the sky above to fly away
To fly on eagles’ wings
You lift the fallen back on high again to coronate
The King above all kings
All honor
All glory
Raised to Your Majesty on eagles’ wings

"After the show, after the set,
after the music stops what's next?
Will there be fellowship, prayer, disciples,
will you open your bibles after the music stops.
After it’s over, after it ends, after the music stops, what then?
Will you understand that Christ is King?
Or will you just like the words we sing after the music stops."

(me and the co-worker/friend that introduced me to this rapper was singing this one at lunch yesterday...XD)
I don't do this for money, I don't do it for fame, I don't do it so the industry can know my name!
I do it to glorify the resuraction of the one true God, and that's the reason I'm writin' this song!"

As for Christian Metal bands, there are a lot. Piller. Project 86, Demon Hunter (really good band) Mortal Treason, Staple. Those are just the ones I can think of of the top of my head.

However, I have been (just recently) called by God to be the pastor for us, the furries. I'm going to talk with Dog of Heaven about it....
I'm also planning on being ordained by man (seeing as God has already ordained me in spirit) so I can perform wedding and that if need be...
I've already talked to my teacher about it (the retired pastor I talked about a few days ago), and the quest for knowledge begins...

I have shirt that says that...
