Departure
A.i regrets to announce that we have parted ways with Joey Pledger, also known as DJ Genki. We wish him the best in his future endeavors.
As a result, we have decided to remove our page from Fur Affinity. Simply put, Joey was A.i’s resident furry, and we do not want to be perceived as phonies by remaining on this site or in the fandom, promoting ourselves as something we’re not. You, as fans, deserve better than that, and the fact of the matter is that while Bill S. would gladly wear a boxing kangaroo costume in public for the hell of it, none of us are really dyed-in-the-wool furries. We won’t lie to you about it to try to get more downloads, unlike some artists in the fandom who are not quite what they seem.
We definitely want to thank all of you for your support, especially at our appearance at FA:U this past May. Unfortunately, we will no longer be performing at MFM, as was previously in the works.
We would love to still have you as friends and fans, and you can keep up to date on what the band is doing and contact us online at all of the following links.

Thank you, like I've been saying, we definitely appreciate the support. It was a hard decision for us to leave FA, but we all felt it was the right thing to do.
Thanks again for the kind words. Hopefully, we'll see you around.
Speaking personally, I (Bill-guitarist, lyricist) see eye to eye with everybody I've met here or when we headlined at FA:U as people. No, I wasn't a furry, but I never claimed to be. Neither did any of my bandmates. As noted in the update, we in fact wanted to respect the fandom by not continuing on, having people assume that we were a furry band, when in fact, we are now a band that used to have a furry and that just enjoyed playing for and sharing our music with furries.
I guess what I'm saying is: would you rather we lied to you? We never pretended to be furries. When I had the pleasure of meeting 2 at FA:U, he asked us if we were all furries, and even then, knowing it could harm our perception, we were honest. I even used the same kangaroo suit line from the update.
Honestly, the only reason I am responding to your attention-seeking message is because I don't want the people we met in the fandom that supported what we're doing and what we create to think that we don't care.
On that note, I'm not going to argue with you any further on here. I don't sit at my computer leaving snarky comments to try to make myself look better, unlike you (although I'm about to make one exception to that rule right now). I'm also not socially inept enough to think that a band I've never met is going to cream themselves over unsolicited musical advice... unlike you. It's musicians like you that ruin the creative side of the fandom with your poppy bullshit that you think is the be all, end all. It's musicians like you who are constantly full of yourselves, driving away musicians who give a fuck about the people that support them. You keep a list of the people who bought your album on your blog, right? (Including your collaborator's mother... good job on that tough sale!) You've sold what, twenty copies? Very impressive, give yourself a hand. I'd love to be able to thank firsthand the people that have downloaded A.i tracks off of our six albums, but there's not enough free time in my life to make that list... I guess that's what happens when you get thousands of downloads, as opposed to twenty buys. So instead of creating a list to make people think we give a shit, we show it in our interactions. We show it by not being full of ourselves. We show it by not thinking they're idiots if they don't like us. And most of all, we show it by telling pompous assholes like you to go fuck yourselves.
Again, to the furries that have enjoyed our music, thank you. We're still going to be around for a long time to come, and we'd love to have you with us.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get high, get drunk, get angry, get laid, and make some motherfucking music.
Sincerely,
Bill / A.i
SOLID plan, good sir!
