Conversations with my mother, part 1

A phone conversation with my mother I had today:

Me: Well, I certainly had a day today. :/
Mom: What happened?
Me: *recounts*
Mom: Aww, my poor baby. :( I'm gonna go shopping tomorrow to get your cookie stuff. Maybe that'll cheer you up. <3
Me: Sounds good.
Mom: What?
Me: (a little louder) Sounds good...
Mom: What?
Me: Commence t' cookie-ing!
Mom: What?
Me: YES, I AM GREATLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THEM.
Mom: Tee hee hee! I can't hear worth anything~
Me: Why aren't you wearing your hearing aid?
Mom: Grrl, that thing's been lost for years.
Me: Wouldn't your insurance cover a new one?
Mom: I don't know...
Me: Well, you should probably find out, since you sort of NEED your hearing. You know you only have 10% in one ear and 90% in the other.
Mom: That means I have 100% of my hearing! Add it up! *presumably beaming*
Me: THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS.

I am looking forward to the cookies I'll be receiving in 1-3 months.

It does sound like something you could make a strip out of. Not that you would...I'm sure Pride of Life keeps you QUITE busy. Dumb question though, why would it take 1-3 months for you to get said cookie stuff?

I would probably find more success making a comic out of something like this than I ever could with PoL. As for the 1-3 months, that's usually how long it takes my parents to ship anything out to me, if they ever do.

Speaking of funny mothers, one time while watching something on Discovery, they mentioned the north and south pole, and my mom says, with great incredulity, "We have TWO polar ice caps!?"
