On september 1st I'm moving with my boyfriend Mickey to Nebraska. Omaha, specifically. It's gonna be a very welcome difference from having lived in NYC my entire life, let me tell you. We chose NE specifically because his brother lives there with his wife & 3 children, and schooling is incredibly cheap there. Buuuut his brother pulled a dick move that lead to Mickey changing his phone number without telling him, and he doesn't intend ever to speak to him again. That was unexpected. We're going ahead with the move just for ourselves now. It's gonna be fucking great, the cost of living is phenomenally lower in NE than in NYC. Mickey pays over $1000 a month for a small 1br apartment in Astoria, Queens. We're going to spend $600 a month, maximum, for a nice-sized 1br apartment in Omaha. Like downtown, right in the city. And it'll be split between us, so $300. Ridiculous! Awesome!

We're going to be going to school there. He's gonna learn welding while I get an associate degree in bio. After I finish that we'll be moving to Lincoln and I'll get a bachelor's from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln. ...Because. They. Have. Insect sciences!!!!!!!!! I flipped a shit when I first found out. As of now I have my eye on the forensic entomology program. FUCKING COOL AS HELL, RIGHT?! I want to maybe get a major in insect science and a minor in FE, or vice versa. Goddamn I'm so excited for this. We're starting our lives over completely, and both of us are taking biiiiigg steps to make our lives better. Finally I'll be free from the hellhole that is new york (it's so overrated).

So yeah do any of you guys live in Omaha? Pretty unlikely I guess, but whatever.
