I don't really get the complaint. Bioshock in Rapture is pretty much done. Bioshock 2 wasn't really needed, but was still I nice little extra to the series. Besides, if you get the feeling that Infinite is too "lighthearted" for you, go put ya balls to the wall on Systemshock 2. And speaking of which, think how many people must have complained when their beloved Systemshock series was resurrected in a watery steam-punk world instead of space. It really feels like the devs are going for a two games in each setting kind of deal, and I'm excited for a change of scene, they need to keep evolving and moving on with the series.
Finally, they can't harp on the same things of morals and a repressive government or it would be a case of "Yes, we get it. Move on!". I may not have done much looking into the game, and it doesnt't help that not much about it is being released, but how do you know it's about the christian relgion anyway? If we're just going off the trailer then there's nothing about religion in it.

I think you're over reacting to this all. The franchise is not "destroyed", it's merely moving on and telling a new story. It's progressing. It may even be taking risks, not quite on the level of from SystemShock 2 to Bioshock, but still some slight risk.
I commend the creaters of Infinite, and speaking of which, both 2K and Irrational are working on this title, like they did with Bioshock 1 and 2. Even if it was just Irrational, what would it matter? They've proved they make excellent games, just look at their released games and tell me there's one that isn't at least good?

I never said the game wouldn't be good but this is not bioshock, its kind of disgraceful to try to call it that, the two ame have nothing in common aside from the little big daddy statues that got smashed. What made bioshock was the industry and the clastaphopia. Theoretically if you you were a call of duty fan wouldn't you be pissed if black ops turned out to be a fantasy game full of majic and dungeons? That being said I'm sure the game would still be good. Now if both 2K and irrational are working on this game why wern't both they're names shown in the trailer? I trust that irrational to make good games but I don't trust them to take over a title that wasn't theirs to begin with. The whole thing about god BTW it's on the propoganda posters......

All in all I'm just sad a company other than the original have named somthing that has nothing to do with bioshock, bioshock... and lastly I think you missinterperate my tone i was calm to begin with, but do I not have the right to express my views, in a rant, in my own journal?
