I warn you of False Prophets, in the Upper Room #XXII
15 years ago
General
I wanted to be ordained online, the first one I see is free...so I check everything on the site like it....but I googled the address and saw a run down getto class room...so I e-mail the man in charge (who calls himself a Reverend)
ME:
I'm looking to becoming ordained online and according to Michigan Law they
only accept online ordination that is affiliated with a church.
May I please get the name, address, and phone number of the church your
affiliated with for my records.
God Bless

Universal Ministry:
Which part of the entire site did you not understand??? We are the official
site of the Universal Ministries worldwide church. We are the second
largest church offering free online ordination. Everything you ask is all
over the site, so again, which part do you not understand?

ME:
well, according to my state laws online ordation needs to be offiliated with
a church...and i googled your address and what i saw was a run down
building...i know that your church isn't a cathidral. but besides an
illegable sign in the front i couldn't tell if it really was a church.
Universal Ministry:
You saw a legal church in law, or you saw a building that needs work, but
serves folks in faith. I am well aware of the law of every state, and what
is required. Join, don't join, it's your choice, but if our chapel does not
meet your standards you might want to trot down the road, pay big bucks for
the same legal ordination, and feel all warm and fuzzy because the other
church will expect you to support it more in money than in faith.
The important thing you might want to remember is the chapel exists to
satisfy laws of man. God makes the world His chapel. We provide the legal
ordination in the laws of man, and give it away freely. Want a fancier
building than the budget allows? You provide it as we do with what we have
to maintain a building. Our real work is done in the world.
ME:
i see...well, guess i'd get what i would pay for in your ministry...i will not be joining your ministry, and it's not because of your building...it's because of you dear Reverend, you have been very rude to me and not showed compassion to my simple question. you greated me with negativity...and for me to preach (or even you to preach) about God's love with your ministry would be a complete lie to the Lord.. i hope what ever is causing this negitivity in you will be removed...God Bless...
Matthew 7:15

And God gives us the perfect devotion for this occasion...Glory be all to HIM!!!
Passion and Compassion
Read Colossians 3:1-12
As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.
-Colossians 3:12 (NRSV)
IT was about 8:00 p.m. on a very hot day. Traffic was intense. Cars and buses were not moving. Thunder announced a coming storm. Everything was dark except the lights of the vehicles, since we had been without power in our neighborhood for some time. In the midst of this, an ambulance siren wailed. From my vantage point at the door of the church, I could see a person in the ambulance -- perhaps a doctor or nurse -- trying to help someone. The ambulance driver frantically waved his hand outside the window, pleading for people to let him get through.
I thought, If that were me in that ambulance, I would like to be cared for with the intensity I saw in that crew, by people who would fight for my life. Instantly, I thought of the church as something like the intensive care unit of a hospital. We are called, made capable, and sustained by God to fight for God's people -- so that they may have abundant life, life guided by God's saving love and grace. God wants a church that acts with passion and compassion so that those whom the world injures may see their true worth as children of God.

As much as this IS a scam it is unfortunately a LEGAL scam because they filled out the right form. they operate as a non profit because the service they offer is free. yet if you want any documents other than the first certificate you must pay for it. clergy passes letters for the county clerk all of it.
now as far as being a christian church? NOT IN THE SLIGHTEST! this is the truest example of a "church of the world" there is no god in this "church" though there may be some in some of it's members. The only docterine of the "church" is "DO THAT WHICH IS RIGHT" well it leaves you to ask BY WHO'S DEFINITION??
I would make the suggestion into looking into some of the denomination based sites. look up their churches docterine. choose the one that is best for you I can make some suggestions if you like but the choice and the cost is ultimately up to you.
