Top Ten Video Game Songs~
This is fun but I wonder if I even know enough games to pick one good one per game
1) The Sun'leth Waterscape - Final Fantasy XIII
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tTCLgw6Zdqk
Like dude when I first heard this song as part of the exploration I was like there is no way I can walk around to this song. It was a dream come true.
2) Devils Never Cry - Devil May Cry 3
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-Kl.....eature=related
I never actually played DMC3 or anything. I think this song was in a stepmania pack once and I just took a liking to it. I like the way they combine like holy and demonic themes into a song like that.
3) Into the Wilderness - Wild Arms
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHpl.....eature=related
It wouldn't be a good journal about video games if I didn't include Michiko Naruke. There's a thousand and one perfect Wild Arms songs but I think I have to settle on this one as the most memorable hands down.
4) Que Sera Sera - Katamari Damacy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFLJX-T7LPk
Katamari Damacy is another video game that it's impossible to have a journal about video games and not have it in here. All the music from Katamari games is unique and exciting, but I have to say this one is my favorite. I walk around humming it all the time.
5) Baba Yetu - Civilization IV
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJiH.....eature=related
This is like a staple in video game music history. It's so beautiful and adventurous and the full orchestration going on with the big build up when it goes instrumental and such it is just the perfect song.
6) Forest Interlude - Donkey Kong Country 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QAFJoATw3Kw
I mean c'mon this is an epic song. It fits the atmosphere of the levels more than perfectly. There is nothing that would make this song better suited to the environment.
7) Pollyanna - Mother
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eDpowHy2QPI
Okay so this isn't like technically what's in game but it totally counts this song is fantastic.
8) Sheep Man's Stage - Mega Man 10
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DIiMdc5WIs
I've only played MM9 and 10, and a lot of the music is super awesome, but Sheep Man wins for being a good example of pretty and catchy 8 bit music. A lot of 8 bit music is either fast paced and in your face or slow and really forgettable. Sheep Man is the perfect median of these, even if he sucks as a robot master.
9) Ballad of the Windfish - Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOKPIG23vgY
I used to play this game so much when I was little it was my first handheld video game. The Ballad of the Windfish is a great song and has fantastic remixes. Check em on ocremix~
10)Title Theme - Solstice
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypNPxwnppU0
My first real video game ever, I used to play it all the time when I was like 5. Of course NES games were insane hard and...well...I was 5. I never got very far. The intro is kind of fantastic for being from the NES era. They need to get this game on the virtual consoleeee
OKAY now I got that out of my system. Time for some honorable mentions from since I was avoiding duplicates from games and series.
Nautilus from FFXIII

A Person's Warmth from WA3
