kamui's journal about a female Scandinavian acoustic musician, I feel it only appropriate to lend the same awareness to a male counterpart who's similarly deserving of attention ;)
EDIT: Apparently he scored the soundtrack to Falkenberg Farewell - a Swedish flick with growing underground acclaim. While trying to find the trailer I encountered people calling it a masterpiece and similar to Gus Van Sant's work. Which shot it quite high in my book!

But on the topic of fingerpicking, this guy's chops still melt my face. His vocals are a little Kenny Rogers for me, and the drippy Christian iconography is a bit of a turn-off, buuuut holy shit that fingerpicking @_@
I agree that the Erik song may be a touch long, but man, it just instantly shoots emotion straight to my heart in a lo-fi, atmospheric, 'Microphones' kind of way. Ms. Ólöf didn't inspire as much of that reaction as I was expecting knowing your taste.
Ah well, I guess we're NOT meant to be together forever.
We can't get In n Out burger here, so it's about equal.
