'Primer' Writer/Director's new film
You know the low budget time-travel flick 'PRIMER'?
This is a trailer for his new movie called UPSTREAM COLOR and I can't fucking get enough of it.
What does that title even mean?! Let alone IMDB's plot description: "A man and woman are drawn together, entangled in the life cycle of an ageless organism." FUUUUUU SO HEAVY!!
Two other MUST-SEE trailers:
Jack Kerouac's ON THE ROAD looks flawlessly adapted to film. SO MANY FEELS!
What is this INSANITY?! Bill Murray, Charlie Sheen, and Jason Schwatzman? My god, I wish more films were this hilariously off the wall lol!

(Also have you read anything about his next project, The Modern Ocean? Can't wait!)
f27 and I were lucky to see him talk about it before a screening in LA. He went on about how he's exploring a much more organic means of filmmaking. To not have everything planned out, but rather have everyone respond to each other. Like the cinematographer hears a cue from the composer, which inspires him to shoot a scene a certain way, and so on. You can definitely see it in the movie's structure and pacing, but fortunately there was enough story and content to anchor it all down. Which is largely where I see Caruth's brilliance. Well, that and his ability to convey such INSANE concepts you would have a hard time just straight up describing to people, haha
Oh. My. God. I have NOT even heard of his new project :O Time to research!!
