Ramblings
I've been distracted from writing (I know, just as I got back into it...) for a while because of this.
I recently got back into voice acting (I am in three fan-things currently being produced) and suddenly had the overwhelming urge to make something I couldn't find anywhere.
Transformers The Movie Abridged.
Based on the 1986 animated movie, I figured it would be pretty easy to do. Upon realising I couldn't actually do all of the voices myself, I decided to put together a little teaser trailer and open up auditions.

You can see the teaser there, or go to Youtube and view it.

Also, auditions are open for 90% of the cast! So go and audition, if you want to.

FA+

Actually, in my opinion, it would sound funnier for an Abridged movie if Arcee was done by a guy.
Good luck with getting a cast together.
There are two other roles that may be suitable for females to do. Daniel is 12, so pre-voice breaking and Wheelie needs a squeeky voice.
I don't have any experience when it comes to voice acting. Done some recordings for home-made metal songs by friends of friends with alot of 'hail satan' lyric for which I simply had to say things (not sing), but I avoid listening to these songs as I don't want to hear myself say 'praised be thy anus' over and over -.-. Then there is one Thumbelina video dub on youtube where I still wonder about if I really wasn't drunk while recording it and a voice meme that has gone around a year or so ago here on FA. That is all I have done voice recording wise, so I truly can't say I can be of any assistance for Wheelie or Daniel... or anyone else for that matter.
Best line of dialogue I have ever written, performed amazingly well and loved by all the commenter's. Even the ones who hate the video. XD
But yes, there are 4 people auditioning. I suppose that's all I need, but I'd have liked a female to do Arcee at least. It -would- be funny for her to be voiced by a male, but this is an abridged, not a parody. :P
fffffffff' Okay, you got me XD
So much noise in my voice clips, ugh. Still, can't believe I forgot since I remember being horrible nervous while recording those lines. Awesome video still, a good memory.
You see much abridged videos these days on Youtube and alot makes fun of the whole show and the characters, sometimes turning it into a parody, so it is a bit hard to tell what exactly people expect from an abridged. Best known Abridged is DBZ Abridged which I actually follow, but at least they try to give fitting voices.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6I_yckq5nA - Lanipator explains how to make an abridged series. I took his advice to heart.
tl;dw - Make sure it follows the basic plot, don't spend too long on one joke, don't bog it down with pop-trivia. If you break any of those, don't call it an abridged, call it a parody.
DBZ Abridged by TeamFourStar was my first abridged. But then I went on to Yu Gi Oh Abridged, by Littlekuriboh. That is hilarious, and I don't know a thing about YGO. I'm also now watching one of the Pokémon Abridged series'. Only reason I started on YGO and Pokémon is because they're available on iTunes...
For an example of a decent parody series, this is a new one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pXJZe6lGzVw Dragon Ball WTF. It's looking like it will be a fun series, and even calls itself a parody rather than an abridged.
Though the way it's currently going, I'm going to have to voice most of the cast myself...
