Suh-weet! How many we got so far?

By the way, the reason I didn't bother using it was that I figured there weren't that many of us back then. Well, I hope I'll be proven wrong ^^

So far we have members including you and me the other three are Foxy Harris, Rauf and the neon knight, I'll work to make this group successful, maybe we can match the Christian furry groups even though that maybe a bit ambitious. But I'm optimistic about the group. Btw what you think of the video? What you think of Naif Al-Mutawa's ideas? In his comics he battles stereotypes and extremism(he's takes the rationalist interpretation of Islam) I really like his ideas, he's a good guy and I hope his comic flourishes, it gives positive things to kids and teens.

Wow, it was cool, I never saw all those biblical references in comic books, and I love his ideas too, how he protrays the divide between facsist literalists and more liberal reformists ^^ Wow, that's a piece of literature right there, love the backstory, too

And how, he actually benefitted from the islamic cartoons controversy, that's very lucky timing, or divine intervention, depending on which way you look at it

And that cartoon ACTUALLY looks good! Would've been better in 2D, but that's my opinion, but it looks really high quality ^^ I wouldn't mind watching it, as long as the plot doesn't get too corny

I really hope this comic does what it aims to do, bend those swatzikas back into crosses, maybe a religion-based third world war can be avoided, I respect this guy for what he's doing ^^

I'm glad you liked it Raez, yeah religion had influence in comic books that most people didn't notice, yeah I do love Naif Al-Mutawa's ideas, he's right that the conservative literalists are like fascists because they want to stop the 'noor stones' from 'updating' and eliminate individuality and make everyone the same, but with the reformist approach everyone can show their individuality and their 'colors'. You can download the first issue for free on the comic's website, and yeah I'll probably would want to watch the show when it comes to the US this fall, one thing that Al-Mutawa does is that this comic is 'inspired' by Islam but not 'Islamic' meaning there's no direct mentioning of Islam really, but mainly the culture of it, you know I might to join in on this, I'm actually thinking maybe I can make it a dream that I will create the world's first Islam-inspired furry comic, like a furry comic based on Islamic history and culture, like the 99 comic, maybe I'll be a big name in anthrocon and also in the mainstream, I dunno I'm just thinking, I don't if it'll happen, all I can say is inshallah :3

Yeah, that's really important. It's islam-inspired, but not islamic, so it doesn't look like religious propaganda. The average deep south redneck can pick it up and not detect the islam in it, which means it can appeal to as wide an audience as possible, except the saudis who say his book deliberately cutting out the religion, but they can fuck themselves or suck on their oil for all I care.

I hope you get to do something like that, and maybe get published by Sofawolf Press, even ^^

Yeah I love what Al-Mutawa is doing, yeah it was his idea for his comic to reach a wide audience, and yeah the Saudis are very uptight about what people read, I mean they even ban a particular translation/interpretation of the Koran that I currently have, its because Muhammad Asad, the translator makes a progressive and rational interpretation of the Koran, he's traditional in a few aspects but he's no doubt one of the best. Yeah I think I want to do an Islamically 'inspired' furry comic but without really mentioning Islam, so then I can appeal to a wider furry audience and possibly even mainstream, I just need to start thinking of what it would be about, basically introducing Islamic culture(not necessarily religion) through furry art just how the 99 talks about Islamic culture through superheroes. Inshallah it'll go well in the future, maybe Sofawolf press may look at it, I just hope I can do it :3
