Good news!

Many of you might remember how upset I was after Christmas because an elderly woman I helped train in the fine art of frying anything edible... had an accident.
Here's a recap.
She slipped on the ice one day and split her head open. She was touch and go for a long time, we were just waiting to hear the bad news. We got bad news, but not what we were expecting. When they did a scan on her head they found a tumor. What really made me mad, aside from all that, was that because she was elderly she was slow. So everyone at that store they sent her to treated her as shitty as possible to get her to quit. When her husband came in to clean out her locker, figuring her time was limited, there were Christmas gifts for everyone in her department, even those who treated her like shit. This kind old lady who was broke to begin with and was being treated so poorly still had enough in her heart to get her co-workers no matter how mean gifts to make their holidays better. Frankly it's a good thing I didn't work at that particular store, I would have been fired for my reaction.
So fast forward to now... I go in to that store and who do I see? She's behind the deli counter!
"No brain damage that we can tell and the tumor is benign." and she's working again. The company that owned the parking lot paid all her medical expenses and settled out of court without any argument. SHe's doing very well! She just recently came back, and is looking forward to the future!

Plus my mom is doing well, she's going to be DOWN a couple days, though. New physical therapy on her neck was a bit hard on her and she's really sore. She'll know not to push herself that hard next week.
