I've been thinking about buying one as it's also quite handy, if you want to film your own driving from first person view.
Not to mention, you'll be able to keep your hands on the steering wheel, not drive with one hand and hold the camera with the other one :'D

Yeah, and if the wind doesn't ruin the sound should give some good example of how the car sounds.

I think the camera would be too close for the engine, the wind would have to be extremely powerful enough to silence it.
