I can't offer you much advice, I don't know what it's like. I know my grandma had a stuffed animal with her and it helped her, she's been in and out of hospitals quite a bit.

But if you want, I'll be there, I'll find a way to make it to any hospital for as long as you want and as long as they'll allow...if you don't want that's fine too, I understand, but the offer is there.

I will do anything I can to make you more comfortable and less scared, I just wish I knew what I could do.

If you don't have visitors I imagine pretty lonely. Just hang in there *hugs*

While I have never been to a hospital for that long, I have heard it helps to take things to keep you preoccupied such as a book to read, or if they allow you to take hand-held video game systems. I wish you luck, Aura. *hugs*

i've been in longer then that days is not too bad I've had pancreatic stones or clusters removed before was not allowed to drink or eat anything only iv first it got better then it inflamed again and same routine this was in the 90's i had had one more chronic pancreatic reaction at least many years ago later but not nowadays

so i hope you will at least be semi comfortable in bed when not in the spinal tap

it does a bit when they put it in but then you really don't feel it to much after it is how you receive your sugar water stuff^^

you get to watch tv whatever they have available some places you get to watch movies if it is affordable too they put that stuff on your bill i think some hospitals used to have vcrs and videos to borrow maybe nowadays they have dvds and such

I never had to spend a night at any hospital. but family and friends who were there told me the experiences they had. I hope you get a room all to yourself. ;3

Do I get to bring any stuff? It would suck even more if I couldn't bring anything.

I wouldn't think there'd be a problem with your DS unless there's an electromagnetic interference issue. Laptop similarly. It might depend on the department.

Usually you can, it would depend on the hospital policies and in case there's a machine in your room or nearby, they might have a list of things that might cause interference.

Also, I have spent some time in the hospital, not as a patient but to take care of someone, it isn't too bad, sometimes the roomates can be very fun people, there's also cable on a lot of the hospitals, and you can even steal wi-fi, I did it when I was watching over my grandma XD

I can't tell you personally what it's like, but my best friend probably could. He has a condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which causes his heart to stop if he over-exerts himself. He had to get a defibulator put in his chest, so he was in the hospital for a bit. That and he has to go to the hospital any time he has an "episode."

It's perfectly understandable that you're scared, but I hope the procedure goes well and that it helps you feel better! <3

i don't know how it is to be in hospital for 3days :/ even if i been there for 2weeks.. but i was in a come so yeah- ;3
but i been there once for observation, but.. i can't really remember it :( But you can bring reading stuff etc^^

3 days? That sounds terrible. D: I'm sure the spinal tap will go through quick and easy for you though! And at least then they can start coming up with some answers about your health. The longest I was in the hospital for was a full day. And it wasn't so bad.

The nice heated blankets, the morphine, the super nice doctors, the (mostly) privacy. It was pretty enjoyable actually. xD
