[COMPOSERS] September, etc. - Composers Steps Up

Looking for a place to chat? Join us at #composers on FurNet!
Well then. Welcome to September. It's going to be a good one.
Okay, let's get going. We asked you in the last journal what could be done to make Composers a better group and you responded with one overwhelming answer: Submissions!
So then, what we've figured is this: Rather than submitting everyone's work on our page, we're going to show off the best from a variety of genres from throughout the month in each monthly journal! Simples! To get your name in, all you have to do is leave us a shout with a link to your newest piece and we'll put it forward for consideration. There is no deciding "factor" on what goes in or what goes out, but don't lose heart if you're not in! Keep on going and keep on sharing! Besides, there's every chance somebody will see your link in our shoutbox and find out about you that way! ^.^
If you get selected one month, don't expect to be picked again all too often, but we want to show off as much as we can without sending you all into overload! Only pieces of music submitted in September will be included in the next journal - the October one. I'm sure that all makes sense! So, what are you waiting for? :D
In other news, there is an album release to report! It's courtesy of
xedgewolfx who goes by the name Gears Of The Apparatus. Uploaded to Edgewolf's Bandcamp is "Discord", the latest offering, described as "Metal based Fakebit". If you can imagine a thrash metal song reduced into 8-bit dubstep electronica, you're sort of on the right lines. It's a great listen, and a rather creative one at that. The whole 13-track album is available for just $8 on the aforementioned BandCamp, available HERE.
Now, we don't often include stories here, but we thought we'd throw this one out -
Vixyyfox has written a short story, dedicated to the Composers group! "Blind Music" is a great little read, based around the noble pipe organ, and it was submitted to FA right HERE.
Semi-Finally, a big thank you to all the new entries to the ever-growing composers and musicians list, and to all our new watchers! Hope you find some wonderful new music!
