I know one female lion, and she plays a lioness.  paso (Awesome art btw from her, if you haven't seen her before). All the others are males, straight, gay, and bi. But no other females. :/

Then i think the guy is just full of shit. He's probably using YOU to create the stereotype with no other conclusive evidence.

I was Kitsune and the screaming girl in the background. The "dude, he's old" voice was Azzy, Icewolf's boyfriend. All those other voices - yes, ALL of them - were all done by Icewolf. He's absolutely freaking incredible and I couldn't ask for a better partner.

I figured lions were kinda in short supply within the fandom (I'm a bit sheltered in regards to the fandom, I'll admit.). But, the only thing I can think of in regards to that idea is "5 out of 4 people have problems with fractions."

well as i never listen to audio material here, i have to admit i was quite surprised too to hear you are a lady. i knew you have a husband and daughter, that should be a giveaway :) but since i'm dutch, that fact for me isn't exactly a tell-tale sign ^_^;

as for other ladies playing male lions. i can't think of any, sorry. and as for fat (pardon me, i mean horizontally challanged) people playing handsome lions, the name tau springs to mind.

Well, I can say that most of my lion friends are indeed male, but what does it really matter whether the person behind the lion is male or female. As long as the artwork is awesome, like yours, it doesn't matter whether the talented artist behind the male lion avatar is really female.

Over at DeviantART, a dear friend of mine has an avatar of Ludwig Von Drake and she also identifies with the character and plays him in role playing games, but she doesn't have male envy and she has a most awesome gallery of Ludwig. I still don't know why that guy cares, nor do I understand why he is making a point of it.

I just wanna tell ya that I always admired your artwork and I really love your avatar.

Actually...... what i have noticed, is that many lions are likely to know German :o
