when i started to realize im piss poor at drawing i tried giving my left a try. from then i realized i really cant draw what so ever.

dont aspire to draw like other people. keep doing what your doing. because its art not a modeling agency.

Thanks for the encouragement though, it's so true...I'm really enjoying trying new things out and paving my way into my own lil artistic groove.

I haven't been through your gallery yet, so I'm not really sure where you're coming from, but my instructors have always insisted on on repetition. Drawing the same bottle overandoverandover(andoveroveroverover); drawing from life, and photographs when only that is available.

That sounds like really sound advice, actually...I always wondered how it is animators can keep such consistency in their art, and I suppose repitition and practice would have a lot to do with it. It's not at all unlike martial arts in that way, too.

My gallery is pretty tiny (I just started working on stuff again after a long time) so, sorry there's not much to see. :< I plan to work on doing studies on hands and other things I want to improve at, just trying to really get my head around how they work and such.

I learned to draw from analyzing other artist's work and carefully look at brush strokes and the composition of the characters. I did this because last year when I started drawing,  kogawakenji told me that he learned to draw from watching other artists. So you can say I took his advice. This may be vague but this is just how I improved
