Intersexed vs. intergendered???
15 years ago
I've seen both terms used, but I have to admit total ignorance as to the difference between the two. Can somebody wiser than me explain it to me? I'm just curious, and wish to know purely for the sake of knowing.

Intergendered = Mental attitude
Intersexed is physical attributes that normally define gender not being completely attributable to one gender in an individual. A physical hermaphrodite, a female lion with a dark fluffy mane, and other examples qualify in this category, though the attributes in question are usually of the genitals. This applies medically as well.
Intergender is the mental feeling of not being identified as Male / Female. From characters who are fluff to people who cross-identify to people who consider themselves to be both internally despite the external appearance of their bodies.
Sex is physical, male or female. Or in fantasy and rarely reality, the different degrees of herm.
Gender is mental, and a tad bit more complex. Of course, I still think gender there goes with the male, female, or herm-degrees, though.
But that's just me and my opinion, with semantics, it's a bit more about opinion. ^.^'
Transgendered is a combination of mental and physical issues, where a person is mentally one gender but physically the other.
Not than I'm complaining.
