Second Grade....

7th grade...shock

I was only in 7th grade. We were starting History class and the teacher was checking the news on his computer before class started. It was only me and a few other people who were early for class in the room, and when he saw the news he said "Oh my God...someone flew a plane into one of the twin towers." Being kids who knew nothing about what the towers were me and a friend of mine giggled that someone was stupid enough to fly a plane into a building that big and the teacher yelled at us to stop laughing, which is when we realized how serious it was. After news of the second plane came out, and the realization that we were under attack, the rest of the school day was called off and we were all sent home. When I got home I saw that it was on every channel and realized it was a very bad thing, but it took a couple more years for me to realize the full significance of it.

Thought it was a movie

5th or 6th grade getting ready for school. And I was really shocked.

I was asleep when the first one went down, I remember waking up and hearing them talking about it on the radio (which I left on at a very low volume at night), but it didn't really register with me yet. Then saw it on the news, while getting ready for class (I was in my first year at art school). A girl from New York was on the bus with me and she was pissed, I didn't personally know anyone from there so even though I knew something awful had happened, it didn't really hit me quite as hard. Got to school, found out they'd cancelled classes for that day, went home. I don't remember a whole lot else except seeing/hearing about it on the news for a while after.

I was at Ft.Gordon GA during my 25U training. We were about to do our basic computer hardware test. Turning on the TV when first LT told our sarge what happened. Saw the second plane hit. One poor Private went into hysterics since her family worked there. They got out thankfully.

I was in the 8th grade, History class of all the classes. I remember being in one class, and watching the news as the plane hit the Pentagon. Then going to history class and seeing the second plane hit. I remember seeing my teacher cover her face with her hands, turn around and start crying. I was in shock. Later that day, we were suppose to leave as a class for Washington D.C. We ended up going to Chicago later that year.

Freshman in High school... Walking down the halls between classes i heard someone say some building had destroyed... But did not learn anything else till i got too class after lunch... That day we watched CNN. The school was quiet for the rest of the day.

In wood working class.. I was confused..

I was in 5th grade. A teacher opened a door to our classroom and simply told our teacher to turn on the news. We all just watched in all as we saw images of smoke billowing from the first tower...and then the second plane colliding. We watched the news all day and saw the towers collapse over and over again until we got home. I didn't feel scared until I got home and saw how offset my parents were. It took a few years for me to finally feel anger over it.

Now, I just plan to be there to prevent another attack from ever happening again and to be there to aid the people if we fail to stop another...
