Big Go Ye Dogs! news
Sooooo... I'm staring Go Ye Dogs! over. Like... all over. I've rushed into the strip from the beginning, otherwise I would have never even started. I've fretted so much about the characters I've shoe-horned them into a plot I hadn't thought through. I've tied one hand behind my back with an awful cramped format that doesn't allow any tension or creativity. I hadn't given myself enough time to design the costumes. I'm rushing. Plus coloring on the computer for me is a very dull, joyless exercise. So I'm starting over... from the beginning.
The layout will resemble a typical comic in portrait format. There will be more panels and more space for them to breathe. I'm not letting myself get lazy about my environments. I'm keeping the good things and tossing the unnecessary ones. I'm filling in the grays by hand. Please trust me. This is already working out for the better. Page one already has more energy and passion than the last month of the strip. I'd appreciate it if y'all came back to square one with me on this one. You will be rewarded.

I've heard on some podcast that you should create a year's worth of strips... and then throw them out. Sadly, that's actually roughly true! I had my comic going once a month for a year, then started over on a new site. IN ADDITION, my "New Readers" page points people to 6 months into the comic. That's basically 70-something comics thrown out, not including a few stray comics over the years and a weekly comic done in 2000.
Kenny Chronicles basically took 8 years to form.
