Watercolour question!

This journal will be hastily written, because there is homemade pasta sauce, quinoa pasta and fresh green salad (homemade vinaigrette!) waiting for me at the table. being Home and with three wonderful cats around (although one is out hunting the angriest squirrel in the universe in the backyard).
ON TO BUSINESS.
I haven't picked up watercolours in quite a long time, and was wondering if anybody had any tips, tutorials, recommendations for working with them. I know the basics, but I'm hoping to at least get one full painting and a few teeny practice ones out today and would like some tips on refining and honing my skills. C:

I don't have anything constructive to contribute, but hey a memory of a one of the most unique teachers on earth is a special one at that

You still have vastly improved compared to me, haha. I haven't had too much of a chance to draw (too much to do!). Listening to Massive Attack's new album, and I'm certain that it sounds like Thom Yorke in the song Flat of the Blade. o.o
