The FCC has power because over-the-air radio and television is, technologically, more analogous to displaying things out on a public street. I personally wouldn't be offended if there were gigantic billboards with a picture of a dildo and the word "Fuck" all over New York City, but I can understand why some people would be.

The Internet, on the other hand, is like a bunch of windowless buildings that clearly display whether or not they are strip clubs.

same thing though, they want some government power to censor the interent, or in this case, don't care that the strip clubs are obvious, they are evil and should be torn down

No, actually, the FCC hasn't shown any interest in censoring the Internet. What they're trying to do is prevent ISPs from censoring the Internet for financial gain.

It's a trick I bet, yeah that is the one government body I will get a bit conspiracy theory-ish about but only because they haven't done there job proper (preventing pirating of televsion and radio waves, having nothing to do with censorship otherwise) in about... 50 years as far as I know
