Heathen City, Vol 3

Howdy!
Okay I just finished my first read thru of Heathen City, Vol 3. I would like to add that I just read Vol's 1 & 2 to get a review and catch up with my reading. First of all, I have to say,.....I want to get inside Alex Vance's head with a desk, a full library, and a computer and set up shop there. I have to say I am very impressed with this latest issue. The only over works of his that I have read is Chapter 1 in Kyell Gold's "X". Even that caused me to sit down with a notepad and work on the story and research and look up because I have to say it challenged my knowledge and understanding with the terms and thoughts presented in the text.
This volume of Heathen City has stretched my mind. I am finding problems in connecting all the dots as for me personally the story line is difficult to follows thanks to this hop around stuff that Vance is doing. This style I think would be better for a movie then for this story. The language seemed perhaps a bit deeper as I sensed more strings connecting everything, which with more read overs with a notepad and perhaps more read overs of volumes one and two will explain better. I will say, I do not enjoy the non english portions of the speech. I do not know italian or whatever it is these guys are speaking. Granted there are hints at what they are indeed saying I would appreciate either a sub text at the bottom of the page or for these to remain in english.
Now, Heathen City, Vol 1.... was packed full of nudity/sex/etc... to get readers attracted and going "oh fuck porn yay!" The story was fairly obvious with a twist that wasn't revealed and hinting at even more plot twists through out the course of the story. Heathen City, Vol 2... was packed full of backstory, still had some nudity and sex, and started to break the ice of how....bizarre and pyscho Vance was going to go with this story. I say this with the utmost respect. I believe most of the readers of this journal who have read these stories would agree with me as it was a bit of a "huh?" moment when we the story starts talking about a horse gone crazy. I dont think I fully enjoyed or understood Vol 2 untill i finished reading Vol 3. Heathen City, Vol 3.. as my first read thru. Has my mind spinning... and that's all I can really say now. I'm struggling to tie things in and figure out exactly happened and really get a grip on the story.
